RCMS goes North with computer donation

For the first time in history of our Club, we have gone North donating computer to less privileged schools in Kashmir, under the Ford Rotary Digital Literacy Initiative. The project was predominantly confined to Tamil Nadu for most of the last 10 years and but the good words of our work spread to the North of India. Our project chairman Rtn. Mukund took it to further heights identifying needy schools in Kashmir and distributed laptop computers to them. The laptops (partially used) are sponsored by Ford Business Services.

Ready to serve

The students who passed out of Tally and Basic Computer course sponsored by our Club at ANEW, the NGO in Anna Nagar, are ready for the job. In a unique initiative, our Club conducted written test and personal interview for the students and identified 20 of them for immediate employment. The interview panel said ‘The students are smart and motivated. They will be good asset if given good opportunities’. These students come from economically weaker section of the society and deserve much support. Any takers?
